Day 5 Breakfast – Baked Apples and cinnamon

The only fruits we’ll be eating on days 5-7 are apples and pears. So here’s a 2 ingredient recipe that makes for a delicious breakfast!

Ingredients:

  • Apples – 4 large (Washed well)
  • Cinnamon – 1 teaspoon 

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven to 380 degrees F (190 degrees C). In a blender, add 1 apple – chopped with ¼ cup of water and blend until smooth. 
  2. Cut the rest of the apples lengthwise, remove the core and cut into thin slices leaving the skin on. Arrange them on a a glass casserole and pour the apple juice over them evenly. Sprinkle 1 teaspoon cinnamon on top.
  3. Cover the casserole with an aluminium foil and bake for 15 minutes. Remove the foil after 15 minutes and bake again for another 7 to 10 minutes until the apples turn soft and are cooked through. Serve hot!
