Another day, another smoothie recipe! I was a bit apprehensive about making a spinach smoothie ‘cos I wasn’t sure what I should expect. My husband used to make some when he was a bachelor and keeps telling me how he used to add a variety of ingredients and it turned out great. Mine is a simple version which makes use of just a couple of major ingredients and is quite a hearty meal in itself. You can hardly taste the spinach so It’s great for picky eaters as well. Ingredients:
- Spinach – 2 cups, washed
- Apple – 1 peeled, cored & chopped
- Juice of 1 lemon
- Honey – 4 tablespoons
Instructions:
- Add all the ingredients to the blender and blend well until smooth and well combined. Add extra honey if needed. Pour into a glass an mix well with a spoon before drinking. Enjoy your healthy beverage!
